What are health pillars and how are they calculated?

A health pillar refers to a key component of overall well-being, contributing to a balanced and healthy lifestyle. These pillars are foundational to maintaining physical, mental, and emotional health, and achieving balance across them is essential for optimal health.

At Welle, we define nine health pillars: Heart, Brain, Hormone, Immune, Metabolic, Gut, Organ, Sleep, and Stamina.

  • Heart: Prioritize heart health for efficient circulation and long-lasting vitality.
  • Brain: Strengthen cognitive health to improve focus and emotional balance.
  • Hormone: Restore hormonal harmony for enhanced health and vitality.
  • Immune: Boost immune function for better protection and disease resistance.
  • Metabolic: Support metabolic function for improved nutrition balance and overall health.
  • Gut: Optimize gut health for better digestion and nutrient absorption.
  • Organ: Promote organ health to maintain peak function and overall vitality.
  • Sleep: Achieve restorative sleep for enhanced health and mental clarity.
  • Stamina: Build energy and stamina for long-lasting physical vitality.

Each health pillar is associated with specific biomarkers that reflect the overall condition. For instance, Apolipoprotein B (ApoB) is a crucial marker for both Heart and Metabolic health. It plays a key role in carrying cholesterol and fats through the bloodstream. High levels of ApoB can indicate a higher risk of heart disease and metabolic issues because it is linked to the buildup of plaque in the arteries.
